Welcome to the virtual home of the Youngstown Alumnae Chapter, a part of the Mighty Midwest Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
We are committed to public service focused primarily on the African-American community and organized around the sorority’s five point thrust; Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness & Involvement, Physical & Mental Health, and Political Awareness & Involvement. The Youngstown Alumnae Chapter welcomes opportunities to partner with those committed to serving the Mahoning Valley by encouraging social action, advancing academic excellence and providing services to meet the needs of the community.
Thank you for visiting our website and please return to stay informed and to learn how you can support our activities, programs, and projects. I encourage you to follow us on social media: facebook.com/DSTYoungstownAlumnae and @youngstownamnaedst on Instagram.
We are working on a project, Caring for Kenya, which is dedicated to help raise funds for I Can Fly International to help them with their mission.
To provide life-changing opportunities through education to rescued children and youth living within impoverished villages around the world. Their projects and services help children who are affected by early marriages, female genital mutilation, extreme poverty, child labor, abandonment and children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Provide food, healthcare, uniforms and school supplies to the rescued youth in Kenya. It may also go toward the completion of their current building projects, designed to expand the number of youth that are able to be served. Your contribution will allow them to make a greater impact.
